Location Project

For this project, I was tasked with utilizing an online location service to display information in a unique way. I chose to make a Google map featuring the locations of the crime alerts at Ohio University posted between 2010-2011. In order to portray the importance of campus safety to students, I performed extensive research into each crime alert posted by the Ohio University Police Department, and I researched the services on campus that provide safety to students. Each pin is positioned in the actual location of a particular crime alert with links to reports or articles with more information. The final three pins go beyond the campus crime alerts by featuring videos from individuals about different areas of campus safety at Ohio University.
